Do you Know, User Experience Design or #UX Design in short. What exactly is this UX design? What is its function? Many may know, many may not know. In this article I will try to discuss as much as possible about UX. At the end of reading this article, you must understand what the UX design is, whether you eat it or give it to your head without promising that you do not want to understand or learn!
Well suppose Mr. John will go from one end to the other. Guess he might
Get there by the local bus or your own private car. Now if he gets on the local bus, he may have to deal with a lot of hassle, which may have to do with the elbow gutter. If you go with a private car, you might be able to go a little easier.
Now think you’re a UX designer. Mr. Jone is your user going to New York City from California, the user’s destination or goal is being done on a bus, rickshaw or private car. Or to reach the goal, that is, when going to New York City, he did all the small things like warn the bus stop, stop the bus, get up on the bus, rent his task.
As a User Experience Designer your job is to design or design how easy and beautiful the user is to reach their goals or destinations.
#what is a UX design?
UX design is to design a product, service or system in such a way that its users or users can reach their goals or destinations in the simplest and most beautiful way without any hesitation. Or, in other words, user experience design is the design of a user’s experience in using a product, service or system.
Many people may think that only Photoshop, Illustrator or any editing tool called UI Interface – UI or Visual Design is called KUX Design. The idea is actually completely wrong! UI or visual design using only different tools is not called KEUX design. The UI is just a part of UX. Others call themselves UI / UX Designer. This is also wrong! How to be a UI / UX Designer if UI is a part of UX? Just say UX Designer.
Let’s discuss more details about UX this time!
There are many steps in UX design. One step after another is to fire. Almost all the steps have one in common, which can be a failed design if any one is dropped.
How do you design user experience but do not do user research? Before designing a product, system or service, you must research the system’s user group. They need to know about demand, aspirations, family situation, financial capability etc. Suppose you have to design a mobile app for a population of one country. If you sit down to design without knowing anything about them, it will be like sitting down to write a cow without knowing it! The essay may be written right, but no one can afford to read it! A product, system or service may have several user groups.
For example, Facebook has many types of user groups. These include adult or adult user groups – those who use Facebook only to receive news or news reports. Regular User Group – People like you who are in the quota age group of 1-5. They may be using Facebook to get updates from their friends, or for their own status, photo uploads. Some come to Facebook to read certain posts, some may come to watch videos, some come to study, some come to run their own fan pages, and so on. Notice that Facebook shows you exactly what you like. Facebook users are constantly doing research. Facebook business is so good at seeing your (read user’s) experience on Facebook!
Human Centered Design
The main purpose of UX design is to give priority to the user. Whether you design a product, system, or service as your own, it is never known to the user or you can teach him / her the UX design. You have to design based on the user’s skill, user’s demand, etc. After a product design it can never be a good design if you need a user manual guide to explain it to the user or need direction.
In this case, these 5 things must be kept in mind.
- Useful: Your content should be original and fulfill a need.
- Usable: Your Product, System or service must be easy to use.
- Valuable: Your Product, System or service must create a value on users mind.
- Desirable: Image, identity, brand, and other design elements are used to evoke emotion and appreciation.
- Findable: Content needs to be navigable and locatable onsite and offsite.
- Accessible: Content needs to be accessible to people with disabilities.
- Credible: Users must trust and believe what you tell them.
During user research, the main problem of that user group is where to find out. When researching users, it is important to know their main problem. Knowing the main problem can help you solve that problem.
In order to know very well about a user group, you need to have a discussion with that user group. In the language of KUX design, it is called Focus Group Discussion. By discussing with them, they need to know better about their problems and only through discussion with them will they get the right information about their needs, capacities, aspirations, family status etc. There are many rules of this discussion. The flame in the hand is desirable.
Task analysis is the process whereby the user group of your system, service or product is closely monitored. The user group has to create Persona and Scenario. Persona refers to the collection of each user group’s name, address, age, occupation, workplace, family status, etc. Scenario also refers to collecting and recording the life history of the user group, its daily life, system and activities.
The main goals of Task Analysis are:
* What is the goal or goal of the user?
* The user performs a task or task to reach that goal or goal.
* Do they face obstacles when performing tasks or tasks?
* How does the user’s interaction status affect the goal or goal.
* Whether the user’s previous experience while reaching the goal or goal has any effect.
After identifying all kinds of problems of the user group, many times I have to fall into the sphere, so what is the real problem? If there is a problem that can be solved, maybe 1% of the problem will be solved. Card sorting is done to avoid this labyrinth. There are two types of card sorting – one. Open card sorting. Two. Closed card sorting. Giant card companies like Google, Microsoft, and thousands of their problems with card sorting bring only a few problems, and from that point of view it can be very easy to solve the problem.
Proper sorting of cards can solve many problems and solve them from thousands of problems. The result of this solution is to tie your user’s problem solving information! And that’s your main job. This is what is called information architecture. If you can’t sort these information properly then all your work is useless! Information architecture refers to the creation of an architecture or structure of those information.
Many of us first start designing with a tool or software when designing UI (User Interface). But as a result, we have many problems. Repeatedly, we have to make changes in various parts. But if a sketch of possible UI can be made in the first pencil and account, which can be easily deleted or changed, then the task becomes easier.
Paper prototype and disability testing
To determine the user experience of a service, system or product, its original user group has to be selected. It is possible to verify the product with only the user group for which you are designing your product. But designing the perfect product for refinement verification is a daunting and time-consuming task of developing a user. That’s why the prep prototype is made. That is, Shape is made of various devices made of paper. The paper device is sketched in your product and is then tested to the Originator User Group. In this way, the user is using the product prototype from the user to verify where the user is doing wrong, where he is stuck. The result you are getting through product testing or validation with the original user is Usability Testing, that is, how useful or usable your product is to the user.
But if there is a problem with your user when it comes to testing visibility, there is a problem.
User Interface (UI) Design
It can be said that the most enduring task of UX design is to design a user interface. As a designer, you now know how to design your product, system or service – your user group is the most important – after you have verified the user – their needs, aspirations, capabilities, circumstances and solutions to their problems. And they will be able to use your product with ease. Complying with all the rules of the UX can never be wasted if a product, system or service is designed.
User Experience Design is a long & continuous process.
Remember, your user needs, aspirations, abilities, etc. will always change. So do not think that you will spend a lifetime with a design and strategy for your product, system or service. On a regular basis, you need to be deeply aware of your users and their needs. It is possible to give your user the right experience or experience tie in line with the age and time. It is not possible to design a good quality UX in a very short time. This requires sufficient time and the ability to understand your user group very closely.
